During February 11-18, 2010, of this year, the city of New York starts the fashion year  with  the world’s premier fashion event, to be held at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, at the Damrosch Park at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts where the public can see the latest fall upcoming fashion collections from well know designers from different parts of the world will show the trends for summer 2010 in the northern hemisphere.

The fashion week is attended by journalists, editors, buyers, celebrities and socialites, are invitation-only and each fashion designer is responsible for the guest list, where they can they can enjoy not only the latest collections with a show of beautiful models, styles and clothes that people will actually desire to wear as well as music and lighting.

Some of the major designers showing their work at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week are: Alexander Wang, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Anna Sui, BCBG Max Azria, Calvin Klein, Carlos Miele, Carolina Herrera, Chado Ralph Rucci, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, DKNY, Donna Karan, Hervé Léger, Lacoste, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marc Jacobs, Max Azria, Narciso Rodriguez, Philip Lim, Ralph Lauren, Rosa Chá, Tory Burch, among others designer clothes.
